Causes of hair loss

 In this type of hair loss, hair more often falls out, resulting in totally smooth and round

patches which may lead to total loss of scalp and body hair. Even though the cause is not known,

there seems to be an immune element involved, as indicated by the response to local steroid

treatment technique in some of the patients.

After delivery, many hairs enter the resting phase of the cycle so that within 2 to 3

months, some women will notice large amounts of hair loss. It can last between 1 to 6 months but

the condition will be reversed completely in most cases.

One to 3 months after any of these

conditions there will be severe hair falling out.

Both hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism can lead to loss of hair. this type of hair loss

Crash diets excluding protein or abnormal eating habits may cause

protein malnutrition. This condition leads to the shifting of growing hairs into the resting phase. Massive

hair loss can occur from 2 to 3 months later. Hairs can pull out by the roots easily.

According to some research, hair follicle cells can be particularly sensitive to

decay in levels of iron and may not be able to grow new cells as effectively when iron stores are very less.

Some prescription and over-the-counter drugs may cause temporary hair shedding in

some people.

These will cause hair cells to stop dividing. The hairs will become thin and break

brushing too can also damage hair.
